DALLAS — Organizers of the annual P&A Leadership Summit have announced that Terrence J. O’Loughlin Esq. will deliver the opening luncheon keynote at the 2017 event, which will be held Sept. 12–13 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Dallas. PALS, Compliance Summit and the inaugural Lender Summit will be co-located with the annual Industry Summit; O’Loughlin will address all three groups.

“Terry O’Loughlin’s legal acumen is beyond reproach, and his address will inject a much-needed dose of compliance education into the PALS agenda,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of P&A magazine. “Executives in the F&I product provider and administrator segment are keenly interested in regulatory issues, and few can address them as confidently and competently as Terry.”

O’Loughlin currently serves as director of compliance for Reynolds and Reynolds. He joined the company in 2006 after serving as a regulator in the Economic Crimes Section in the office of Florida’s state attorney general. He is a prolific writer and speaker and a fixture at the Summit series of events, for which he has tackled compliance issues from the perspective of dealers, agents, product providers and more.

Although the basic tenets of regulatory compliance apply to any person or company involved in the auto retail and finance industry, O’Loughlin said he will tailor his address to educate and inform the PALS crowd.

“Regulations and court cases have given us models upon which we can rely to determine what we must do, at a minimum, to comply with the law,” O’Loughlin said. “At P&A Leadership Summit, we will discuss the inherent risks and covert concerns attendees need to be apprised of and how to weave those requirements into their business plans.”

Registration for Industry Summit 2017 is open at the event’s website. Attendees who register by Aug. 11 will enjoy a $100 discount. To discuss sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, contact David Gesualdo at (727) 947-4027 or via email.
