Set for Sept. 21-23 at the Orland World Center Marriott Resort in Florida, the 2009 F&I Conference and Expo boasts an agenda that addresses today’s most important issues. This year, organizers have added the Lender Pavilion, a new opportunity for dealers to meet one-on-one with participating finance sources.

In what promises to be an exciting event, the 2009 F&I Conference and Expo features a number of panel discussion and workshops covering a broad range of topics – from the current state of the auto finance industry and F&I product sales, to technology and compliance. Attendees will also enjoy several unique opportunities to interact with compliance experts, lending representatives and more.

With recent signs that the economy is starting to emerge from last year’s collapse, the show will feature “Tackling Challenges Head-On,” a special executive roundtable moderated by Connection Insight’s Marguerite Watanabe. The panel will bring together a number of industry experts – from Experian Automotive’s Melinda Zabritski and TransUnion’s Peter Turek, to Resource Automotive’s Tom Murray, NAC’s Pete Biscardi, Smart Payment Plan's David Engelman, and automotive legal expert Lewis Kuhl of Pathman Lewis LLP.

The show will also feature Manas Mohapatra, staff attorney for the Federal Trade Commission’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection. He will lead an interactive lunch discussion on the Red Flags Rule, allowing dealers to pose questions related to the FTC’s newest weapon against identity theft.

New this year is a special Lender Pavilion, where show attendees can visit with participating banks, finance companies, and credit union representatives. And with several workshops and panel discussions geared toward auto finance – including a special, pre-show event addressing the special finance arena – the pavilion aims to provide dealers with a better understanding of the changing automotive finance landscape.
