“Since the creation of the CFPB, we have seen a significant increase with respect to the scrutiny placed on the financing of F&I products,” said McDaniel. “To address that scrutiny, auto finance companies are implementing review processes for F&I products prior to agreeing to finance them. We have worked with some of the largest auto finance companies in the country to implement a web-based solution to address this risk.”
“I look forward to speaking with the group to help educate attendees on this process, why it exists, and best practices to ensure a smooth review and speedy approval when submitting an F&I product for approval for financing."
McDaniel said regulatory scrutiny of auto finance companies and their financing of F&I products is at an all-time high since the enactment of federal Dodd-Frank Act. More finance companies now review F&I products prior to agreeing to finance them. McDaniel promised to tell attendees what they need to know about the review process and what the future likely holds for the financing of these products.
“I look forward to speaking with the group to help educate attendees on this process, why it exists, and best practices to ensure a smooth review and speedy approval when submitting an F&I product for approval for financing,” he added.

The Ethical F&I Managers Conference is seeking working F&I pros to attend and speak at its next event, scheduled for March 2-4 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.
These challenges were designed to give F&I and sales professionals an opportunity to showcase their skills to the DealerTech Summit and Industry Summit audience.
Included in the event registration, all attendees will be eligible to sign up and take the ACE certification exam in one of four disciplines: F&I Specialist, Sales Management Specialist, Compliance Officer, and ACE’s newest offering, Safeguards Specialist.
By providing certification, regular video updates and an annual recertification exam, the ACE Safeguards Specialist Certification Program is intended to help dealers meet the new Safeguards requirements.
Presented by F&I and Showroom magazine and sponsored by Spectrum Automotive Holdings, the annual awards program recognizes dealerships with highly profitable F&I departments.
