SAN ANTONIO — XPEL ULTIMATE Paint Protection Film is a self-healing product that can be used on automobiles, motorcycles, RVs, powersports equipment, providing years of protection from stone chips, scratches and abrasions, according to the company.

The protection uses a virtually invisible urethane film that features a clear coat and special elastomeric polymers that "heal" over time, eliminating swirl marks and fine scratches, according to the company. The film's low surface energy enables XPEL ULTIMATE to shed contaminants such as road grime, air pollution and tree sap, which are responsible for staining and yellowing conventional films, while its strength protects painted surfaces from rocks, gravel, salt, oils, magnesium chloride, and insect and bird wastes.

"As with all our film technologies, we designed our self-healing ULTIMATE Paint Protection Film to provide industry-leading performance that's proven to last longer than other films on the market," said Ryan Pape, CEO of XPEL. "ULTIMATE offers superior paint protection while retaining its gloss and clarity for many years."

Available in rolls of varying width and length and  pre-cut in a variety of patterns, ULTIMATE is available to protect hoods, headlamps, fenders, rocker panels, door edges, mirrors and more. With exceptional elongation, memory and flexibility, the film is easy to install, allowing for single-piece installations, and reduced labor costs, officials said.

XPEL ULTIMATE carries a 10-year warranty and is backed by a worldwide network of certified installers. Dealers interested in carrying the product can sign up directly with the company by visiting www.xpel.com.
