Canada-based Go Auto acquired three Seattle, Wash., dealerships from Car Pros Automotive Group.

Post-sale, Car Pros continues to operate six stores across the BMW, Honda, Kia and MINI brands in Southern California. The group, which was founded in Washington in 1993, called the sale is bittersweet.

“We are profoundly grateful for the support we have received over the years and for the dedicated employees whose hard work and heart shaped these stores,” said Car Pros CEO Matthew Phillips, whose group was represented by Kerrigan Advisors in the transaction.

The deal included Car Pros Kia Tacoma, Car Pros Kia Renton and Car Pros Hyundai Renton.

It's Go Auto’s second acquisition in the U.S. after the 2023 purchase of Mercedez-Benz of Bellingham and Toyota of Bellingham, also in Washington state. The automotive group owns and operates over 70 dealerships among 28 brands across Canada and the U.S.

“The Go Auto team shares the same Car Pros values and core principles – commitment to employees, customers and community – and I wish them much success as they continue to grow their presence in Washington,” Phillips said.

According to Kerrigan Advisors, the three Washington-based dealerships are recognized as volume leaders in the state and reflect the strength of the Kia and Hyundai brands in the Seattle-Tacoma market.
