Tina Mallie Named Head of Zurich's Direct Markets

Zurich, a global property and casualty insurance provider, announced today that Tina Mallie is the new head of direct markets for Zurich North America Commercial.

Schaumburg, Ill. – Zurich, a global property and casualty insurance provider, announced today that Tina Mallie is the new head of direct markets for Zurich North America Commercial.

In her new role, Mallie will be responsible for overseeing Zurich’s insurance offerings to businesses that sell or service automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, and equipment, as well as auto recyclers.

“We are looking forward to Tina leading this important part of our business and helping develop products and services for the exclusive group of customers this business area represents,” said Craig Fundum, president of programs and direct markets for Zurich North America Commercial. “She brings insight and experiences from her previous roles in the U.S. and Switzerland that will add to our proven value proposition.”

Mallie joined Zurich in 2002 and most recently served as head of construction services for Zurich’s programs and direct markets business unit.

She is currently based in Schaumburg, Ill. but will be relocating to Overland Park, Kan., where Zurich’s direct markets strategic business unit is based.

Mallie previously served as chief administrative officer for Zurich North America Commercial, with responsibility for several functional areas including risk management, communications, human resources, and innovation. She served as chief of staff for the global chief administrative officer at the Group’s Corporate Center in Zurich from 2002 – 2004.

Prior to joining Zurich, Mallie served in an executive position at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York and as a professor of accounting at Miami University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in business administration from Tennessee Technological University. She earned a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Tennessee and is a Certified Public Accountant.
