Porsche’s North American division recalled all of its Taycan sedans due to a brake fluid leak issue that increases crash risk.

The Taycan, recently ranked the vehicle most likely to be recalled, is Porsche’s first fully electric sports car.

This month's recall affects nearly 32,000 units of the vehicle, from its first model of 2020 to the most recent, model year 2025.

The German carmaker says the vehicles’ front brake hoses can crack, leaking brake fluid. A notice on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website indicates the issue could cut braking performance, requiring a longer distance to stop and thereby raising risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the hoses. Porsche is scheduled to mail recall notices to owners next Wednesday, July 3.
