TAMPA, Fla. — Protective Asset Protection’s Rich Moore will present a session dedicated to hiring and training Millennial workers at the upcoming Dealer Summit, organizers announced Monday. The event will be held May 3–5, 2016, at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel.

“Much like younger car buyers, younger workers are a complete mystery to many dealers,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Auto Dealer Today and F&I and Showroom magazines. “We are counting on Rich to connect the dots between Millennials and the dealers who will soon rely on them to staff and manage their sales, F&I and service departments.”

Moore serves as director of training for Protective and has expertise in training as well as compliance and social media. His session, “How to Recruit, Train and Retain Millennials,” will begin at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4.

Moore pledged to share a comprehensive strategy for connecting with Millennials, including recruitment and training strategies that have proven to be effective with young automotive professionals.

“Millennials are a source of much confusion to most traditional businesses, including dealerships. But if you understand what makes them tick, recruiting, hiring and training Millennials is not really that different than anyone else,” Moore said. “Being the father of three Millennials myself, I have a lot of great firsthand experience to share from both the hiring perspective and from what they say about what it’s like trying to get hired in today’s world.”

Registration for Dealer Summit is open at the event’s website. Dealers who register by April 1 will enjoy a $100 early-bird discount. For information about exhibition and sponsorship opportunities, contact show chair David Gesualdo via email or at 727-947-4027.
