Minnesota-based Walser Automotive Group is set to add the Mitsubishi brand to its stable when it opens its newest dealership this spring.
One of the biggest U.S. auto groups, Walser plans to open the Mitsubishi store in the Minneapolis suburb of Burnsville, marking its 35th dealership across 20 brands.
“Walser Automotive brings an impressive level of commitment to customer satisfaction, exactly what the next generation of Mitsubishi Motors in the U.S. needs to catapult our business forward,” said Mark Chaffin, president and CEO of the Japanese automaker’s North American division, in a press release on the new store.
“I couldn't be more proud to welcome Walser to the Mitsubishi dealer partner family."
Walser originated with a single store in 1954 and calls itself “one of the pioneers of the ‘one person, one price’ shopping and buying process.
"Mitsubishi's focus on innovation, technology, and great service aligns with Walser's commitment to building strong relationships in the communities we serve and delivering a more seamless car buying and ownership experience,” said the auto group’s CEO, Andrew Walser.
Mitsubishi says its Momentum 2030 plan of lineup and dealership design refreshes, plus “deep investment in digital processes” to make vehicle shopping easier, is attracting retailers in new markets such as Burnsville.
