Honda recalled more than 720,000 vehicles due to risk of fuel leakage that could lead to fire.

The recall affects the 2023 and 2024 Accord and Accord Hybrid, 2023 to 2025 CR-V Hybrid, and the 2025 Civic and Civic Hybrid.

Certain of the vehicles’ high-pressure fuel pumps could crack, leading to leaked fuel and potential fire in proximity to an ignition source. Honda said there have been no injury reports related to the issue.

If the problem exists in an potentially affected vehicle, occupants may notice a fuel odor while the vehicle is in motion or idling, Honda said.

Dealers will examine the fuel pumps and replace them if needed, says a recall summary on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration site. Recall notices are scheduled to be mailed to owners on Dec. 4.
