FAIRFAX, Va. — ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Company, a division of Exxon Mobil Corporation, has been selected as the preferred supplier of engine oil products for Group 1 Automotive Inc., a Fortune 500 auto retailer.

As a result, Group 1 dealers in the U.S. market will recommend Mobil-branded engine oil products as the preferred lubricant for dealer-based vehicle service, and will have access to ExxonMobil sales and marketing support. About half of the Group 1 dealers will be on existing OEM programs while the other half will be on direct Mobil-branded products.

Group 1 dealers will receive full marketing support, including Mobil 1 and Mobil Super-branded signage, brochures and access to ExxonMobil promotions. Group 1 mechanics and technicians will also receive specialized training on the Mobil1 products.

"Group 1 chose ExxonMobil for the uniqueness of its program, its competitiveness and the professionalism of its staff," said Group 1 Vice President of Fixed Operations Wade Hubbard. "Under the unique structure of the arrangement, Mobil 1 and Mobil-branded oil programs with the following OEMs will be available to the dealer network: Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infiniti, General Motors AC Delco, Mercedes-Benz USA, Porsche, and Kia."
