SAN JOSE, Calif. — eBay Motors announced the launch of a national subscriptions program for auto dealers, enabling small and mid-size dealerships to reach millions of car shoppers across the nation for a fixed subscription rate.

With the subscription program, dealers can leverage a consistent monthly online sales channel through the highly trafficked online destination that boasts 120 million users worldwide. The national subscriptions program includes new tools and services to help dealers sell more efficiently, effectively track sales information and more. Services include advanced seller tools, detailed reporting and dedicated one-on-one account onboarding and support.

“The national subscriptions program builds upon the existing services and support eBay Motors has offered dealers for years,” said Bryan Murphy, head of eBay Motors. “eBay Motors provides dealers with a critical sales channel that enables them to reach a broader base of consumers, and in the variety of ways that they prefer to shop, from online to mobile. This new program allows us to further customize our services for dealers, so they can choose the solution that is best suited for their business needs, providing them with even better access to one of the top online automotive destinations.”

According to stats from eBay Motors, a passenger vehicle sells every two minutes on eBay, and in the second quarter, 76 percent of all vehicles sold on eBay Motors were interstate transactions. eBay Motors also empowers dealers to reach customers in the way they want to shop, including online and mobile. As of May 2013, 11,000 vehicles are sold each week through eBay mobile apps.
