Three dealer groups picked up stores in four states in recent months, Automotive News reported.

In Delaware, Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships bought two stores and a collision center in Newark, Del. From Porter Automotive Group, the publication said.

Hertrich rebranded the Nissan and Infiniti dealerships after the group. The acquisition added its first Infiniti store.

The group also owns dealerships in Maryland and New Jersey. It ranks 109th on Automotive News’ list of the top 150 U.S.-based dealer groups with more than 9,000 new-vehicle sales in 2021.

In Georgia, Troncalli Automotive picked up Jefferson Ford northeast of Atlanta from Jimmy Bailey, keeping the store’s name.

Troncalli also owns Chevrolet, Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram, and Subaru stores across Georgia.

In North Carolina, Brian Vonderheide bought his first new-car dealership with his acquisition of Planet Mitsubishi Hickory in Hickory from Helmi Felfel of Charlotte-area Planet Automotive Group

The store, in western North Carolina, is now Mountain Mitsubishi. He formerly managed franchised dealerships and most recently owned a used-luxury-vehicle store, Automotive News said.

And in Texas, the Khoury Group in San Antonio bought Heart of Texas Ford in Brady from John and Kelly Reavis, rebranding it Destination Ford of Brady and bringing the group’s total franchised stores to 14, in addition to four used-car dealerships.
