CHICAGO — A used car dealer in Chicago is accused of attempting to hire a hit man to kill his uncle, who was a witness against the dealer in a federal fraud case, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. The owner of Hamden Auto Group, Sami Hamden, allegedly offered $10,000 to an undercover agent posing as a hit man.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Hamden believed his uncle led federal officials to discover that the dealer had faked bank statements and other documents in order to obtain financing for his customers.
