You might do a double take if you encounter a newly minted Bronco on the road soon.

The 2025 Bronco Sport sports the optional design scheme straight out of the nature-loving decade of earth-tone design.

The Bronco Free Wheeling borrows its sunset-hued shell from the Free Wheeling design of trucks, Broncos and Ecoline vans that fit right in in the late 1970s and early 1980s as the U.S. embraced the outdoors and its 200-year history.

Ford describes the retro style as “vibrant and confident” and updated by modern graphic design, including “unique pops of color that come together in an optimistic way.” It includes a silver grille emblazoned with a red Bronco nameplate.

“Bronco has always been about fun and capability since day one and Free Wheeling’s looks kick that up a notch with its sunset inspired beach vibes,” said Ford Vehicle Personalization Chief Designer Steve Gilmore in a press release on the new package.

The center of the Bronco’s seats also bears the horizontal red, orange and yellow bar pattern that’s on the exterior side panels.
