CARMEL, Ind. — ADESA (div. KAR Auction Services Inc.) has named new general managers at two auction locations in the Central region. Each brings decades of auction industry experience and is expected to help advance ADESA’s customer-focused strategies.

Kevin Stumm has been appointed general manager of ADESA Des Moines. Stumm’s experience in the industry stretches back to 2003, when he became the GM of Wisconsin Auto Auction. He later founded VinFocused, a consultative service provider for large to small automotive dealerships. He has also held director or manager roles at Lee Enterprises, CarSoup, and Autotrader.

Jeff Brinkley will lead ADESA Salt Lake. He started his career in the auto auction industry in 1985 at the former Indianapolis Auto Auction, which later became ADESA Indianapolis. He has served as assistant GM at ADESA Indianapolis, ADESA Orlando, and, for the past year, at ADESA Salt Lake. He had previously served as assistant GM at Greater Nevada Auto Auction and GM of the former ADESA Southern Indiana.

Rob Brasher, the previous GM of ADESA Salt Lake, has decided to reduce his role at the auction to allow more time for family and other interests. He will continue to represent ADESA Salt Lake in a sales leadership position.

“Kevin and Jeff are proven leaders in the industry who know the business and our customers,” said Doug Shore, regional vice president of ADESA’s central region. “As the in-lane auction experience evolves and we continue transforming the way we serve our customers, it’s important to foster strong industry relationships. Kevin and Jeff have not only successfully built winning teams, they have deep customer relationships that will continue to create growth at ADESA.”
