F&I and Showroom Names 2016 F&I Pacesetters

This year’s field of F&I Pacesetters includes operations from California, Illinois, Texas and Wisconsin. One of them will be named F&I and Showroom's 2016 F&I Dealer of the Year at Industry Summit 2016.

TORRANCE, Calif. — F&I and Showroom announced the six winners of The Warranty Group-sponsored F&I Pacesetters contest. These operations are now in the running for the magazine’s coveted F&I Dealer of the Year award, the winner of which will be named this month at Industry Summit 2016.

This year’s field of F&I Pacesetters includes operations from California, Illinois, Texas and Wisconsin. Profiles of each operation will appear in the September 2016 issue of F&I and Showroom magazine.

“Selecting the five finalists is never easy, and this year was no exception,” said Gregory Arroyo, editorial director for F&I and Showroom magazine. “Each of them had a great story to tell and clearly demonstrated their ability to balance performance with customer satisfaction.” 

Also sponsored by The Warranty Group, the F&I Dealer of the Year award is handed out annually to a dealership or dealer group with a highly profitable F&I department that demonstrates a commitment to regulatory compliance. This year’s winner will be announced on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 4:30 p.m. inside the Paris Las Vegas’s Champagne Ballroom.

Past winners of the F&I Dealer of the Year award include Davis-Moore Automotive, Vaden Automotive Group, Serpentini Chevrolet of Strongsville, Lithia Motors Inc., Riverside Auto Group, The Suburban Collection, and Tuttle-Click Automotive Group.

The following are this year's finalist for the 2016 F&I Dealer of the Year award:

Carlsbad Buick GMC Cadillac, Carlsbad, Calif.

David Hobbs Honda, Glendale, Wis.

Gerald Hyundai, North Aurora, Ill.

Hub Hyundai Mitsubishi, Houston

Houston’s Hub Hyundai and Hub Mitsubishi operate at the same location but in separate facilities. They are part of Hub Auto Group, which was founded in 1975 by Bob Cox.

Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford of Lewisville, Texas

Five Star Ford of Lewisville (Texas) is part of Five Star Ford Inc., a group that consists of four Ford dealerships located in the sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. The group was founded in 1980 by Sam Pack, a former Ford Credit employee.

Star Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram/Hyundai, Abilene, Texas

Star Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram/Hyundai has been under the guidance of Dealer Principal Mike Dunnahoo since 1999. The Hyundai franchise was added in 2001. Dunnahoo started in the industry in 1972, and is active in all facets of his business.
