LAS VEGAS — KEEPS Inc., a provider of retail automotive service department analytics, repair order analysis, and advanced service management support, has appointed James G. O’Connor to its board of directors, the company announced this week.

O’Connor, a retired Ford Motor Co. executive, brings more than 40 years of automotive experience to the board. He first joined Ford in 1964 and was named group vice president for North American Marketing, Sales, and Service in 2002. In that role, he was responsible for overseeing Ford, Lincoln Mercury and Ford Parts-Customer Service divisions, Dealer Development and Ford Racing and Marketing Operations. O'Connor retired from Ford in 2004 and currently serves on the board of Kelly Management Co., a private chain of automotive dealerships, and is owner/partner of Kelly Ford in Melbourne, Fla.

O'Connor also served as chairman of Ford of Canada, president of the Lincoln Mercury brand and president of the Ford brand.

“KEEPS Corporation and Dynatron Software provide some of the best technology I have seen to help automotive service centers better evaluate and improve their performance and profitability," he said. "It’s an honor to serve on their board or directors and I look forward to working with the KEEPS board and management team to continue to improve their value to auto service centers."
