URBANDALE, Iowa — Flick Fusion has released FlickWidget, a responsive video display tool the firm claims can increase the number of views dealers get on the videos on their website.

"Car shoppers prefer watching videos to reading text, and the longer a customer engages with videos, the more emotionally invested they become in your dealership's inventory and brand," said Tim James, COO of Flick Fusion.

To attain these results, FlickWidget offers every shopper who visits a dealer website a personalized experience based on his or her individual viewing behavior, according to the company. When shoppers visit a dealer website, they immediately see a horizontal slider that displays some of the dealership’s featured inventory videos, with suggestions based on the person’s browsing behavior. The next time the customer visits the site, the slider will show the videos he or she has already seen and will also present new videos that he or she might be interested in watching.

Apart from acting as a visual tool on a dealership’s homepage or vehicle details pages, FlickWidget can also be used as a banner ad on any website where the dealership advertises, effectively increasing click-through rates, the company states. The sliders’ size, dimension and orientation can be customized as well. The slider is also responsive, so shoppers browsing on their mobile devices will be able to view them without any difficulties, according to the company.
